It was 2.30pm when I popped in to Kouzina takeaway. The lunch rush was over and many regular items had sold out but the ½ portions were more than sizeable, making it possible to select a variety of items to form a little meze from what remained.
I chose a piece of cod, 1 stuffed tomato (£1.20), ½ portion fried calamari (£1.80), combined ½ portion mixed vegetables and potato wedges (£1.20), and white beans with carrots (£1.15). Every dish was absolutely delicious with the vegetables in particular remaining slightly crispy, as opposed to the wilted ones you usually end up with.
As all items are made fresh each day with the rare leftovers being thrown away, I was offered a free portion of salad. The place was immaculate and including my can of soft drink (£0.60), the whole lot cost me just under £6 and did two of us for two meals. I will definitely be going back!
