Larissa’s Gabon striker Henri Antchouet was banned for two years by the Greek Football Federation (EPO) on Thursday after testing positive for a banned substance following last month’s Greek Cup final.

Antchouet was the hero of the match after scoring the winner for Larissa as they beat Panathinaikos 2-1 but EPO said the outcome of the final would not be affected.

EPO’s disciplinary committee said in a statement it was banning Antchouet from all competitive and friendly matches and suspending his license as a professional footballer in Greece. It added that Larissa would not be punished. The banned substance was not named by EPO.
