Greek fun and food at June 24 festival June 16, 2007

The Greeks are having another party.
The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church annual Greek Festival will be held Sunday, June 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
Enjoy a wide-range of food items including Spanakopita, Pastitsio, Souvlakia, Gyros and Greek chicken. Desserts include Baklava, Karidopita, Diples, Loukoumades (honeypuffs) and much more. Top it all off with a cold beer, glass of wine, frappe’ or Greek coffee.
Fond du Lac will play host to the Hellenic Dancers of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church from Milwaukee. These costumed dancers will perform traditional dances from various regions of Greece. Dancers will perform at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.
The secrets to the foods available throughout the day can be found in the cookbooks that will be on sale during the festival. Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the first prize of $1,000.
