Greek Corner completes the trilogy for the Ferdinand Cela > The restaurant, Greek Corner, is located at 3512 W. Dublin-Granville Road, just east of Sawmill Road.
Greek is the obvious bill of fare, with Italian and other Mediterranean dishes finding their way onto the menu. There’s even a T-bone steak.
“There’s something for everybody,” said Cela, who owns the Acropolis in the Clintonville area and the No. 1 Gyro Shoppe on the West Side. His partners in Greek corner include Orian and Laura Trifoni.
The 70-seat operation occupies 2,000 square feet of space. Cela described the restaurant as family casual. The Albania-born Cela got his culinary training in Greece, as did Laura Trifoni, who will be chef at Greek Corner. Orian Trifoni also will work in the kitchen. Cela has been in the United States for nine years and has owned the Acropolis, his first restaurant, for four. He said his restaurants are helping him realize his dream.
“It is something how America gives you the opportunity to move up,” he said. “On the other hand, you should know what you’re doing. That’s important.”
The restaurant will be open seven days a week. It will open without alcohol, but customers can bring in their own wine for a nominal corkage fee, Cela said. For more information, call 614-336-8830.
