GB Airways is increasing the amount of flights to Greek Islands, no doubt increasing demand for overseas property.

More flights to Mykonos, Corfu and Rhodes are expected to attract a new wave of interest and have a direct influence on the rental prices for Greek property. As accessibility improves, owners of rental holiday homes in the area should experience increased demand.

A spokesperson from GB Airways, a subsidiary of British Airways, has promised that by the summertime they will not only provide 20 flights a week to these islands but for a longer season than previously.

All three destinations offer something different for all ages and types of short break holiday makers, including second home investors. The increased air traffic will open these destinations as weekend break destinations, reduce travel time considerably compared to the time consuming ferries whist also addressing the demand for a more luxury Greek holiday that has previously not been catered for by existing charter companies.

One of the knock-on effects of more tourists visiting certain locations, is a higher standard of quality accomodation and as a result potential for investment looks extremely encouraging.
