New Ikea store opened in Cyprus September 7, 2007

Greek furniture and sport retailer Fourlis Holdings said it has opened its new IKEA store in Cyprus as part of its franchise operations.

The store covers 22,000 square meters and has 1,500 parking spaces. On the first day of operation 15,000 customers visited the store.

At the formal store opening, the Cypriot Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Anthony Vasiliou, and the Ambassador of Sweden, Ingemar Lindahl, were present.

The company now has three IKEA stores in total, with the other two in Greece.
